Lessons Learned : Japan’s Earth Quake

Yesterday, I heard on the radio that “after a major earth quakes, it is unlikely that other quakes in differten regions may occur… as data has proven”.
yet , New Zealand’s earth quake of 6.3 was a ominous sign for the Pacfic Tsunamia Warnig System of the catastrophic chain of events that would unfold within the tecntonic plates in following weeks but left unchecked.

Futhermore, with 60 percent of Earth’s population living along coast lines, the stakes are high and there should be zero tolerance of failure.
For example, a tusanmi can have the same devesation as a nuclear explosion of the scope used in WW II and may have a time lapse of seconds as the 2004 tusanami in south east Asia thought us .

After compiling data of radio telescopes, sesimic indicators, and satellites for over 50 years in the pacific basin , the world’s most prone tsunami region,
the National Oceanic and Atmosphers Adminastration (NOAA) which runs Nation weather service (NWS) that over sees the Pacfic Tsunami Warning System (PTWS), failed catastrophically in determing Japan’s quake.

Although Equakes are extremely complex in forecasting - involving hundreds of vairables, there is a decrease from NOAA budget of 56.8 million for 2012 FY budget of 5.5 billion dollars where 126 million dollars in cuts are made to NWS which subsidizes the Pacfic Tsunami Waring System in the Pacfic Basinin in Hawaii.

Ironically, due to the history of the NWS, better oversight and expansion are required because:

• Previous history of earth’s enviornmential evolution( in which existence of most land and marine species ceased 5 times and a 6 extinction is currently undreway).

• Lack of knowelge by the public.

• Effects of global warming

• As population increases, causalties and displacement of people increases at unpresented levels due to extremen weather condition (projected poplation in 2020 is 8 billion and sicentific projections estimate that earth can only sustain 13-15 billion people )

• Safeguard life and property accordingly.

• Ecnomic impact especially in areas along coast line

• New methods of analysis (as explained below) and a budget for emergency research in the event of enviornmential catastrophies. For example” The Impact of Japans’s Earth Quake on Earth’s”: axis, magnetic field, climate, rotation and precessional cycle (”wobble”) which occus every 365 day and 26,000 years respectively.(note: complete “wobble”or cycle will be compleated in 2012)

• One of the greatest threat to civilization needs to be addressed appropiately and responsibly.

With failures of the Pacfic Tsunami Warning System, let’s review basics:

Earth’s tentonic plates are know to be in constant motion, shifting by up to 6 inches each year . Surpiselyingly,all of our geographoc landscape from the higest allitudes, such as the himalayas mountains, to low-lying islands off the coast of japan are by-products of 7 major tectonic plates.
The following plates are listed in accordance to size which are up to 60 miles thick and covers 94 percent of Earth:

The Pacfic Plate

African Plate

Euransian Plate

Australian Plate

North American Plate

Antarctica Plate

Sout America Plates

the remaining 6 percent surface area is accounted for about by a dosen much smaller plates, such as the Juan de Fuca Plate,which is located off the cost of the north west US.

Plate sizes are constantly changing as some expand others get smaller.

Theses process occur at plaet boundries.

A blance between the two processes is maintained, SINCE THE SIZE OF THE EARTH IS CONSTANT.

There are three main types of boundries between the Earth’s tectonic plates.
At two of thes types of boundries plates change in size. Plate growth occurs at DIVERGENT BOUNDARIES along sea-floor spreading ridges
Plate consumption occurs at CONVERGENT BOUNDARIES, which are marked by deep-ocean trenches and subductions zones.
Divergent and Convergent zones form 80 percent of plate boundaries; the remaining 20 percent are TRANSFORM BOUNDARIEES, WHER TWO PLATES SLIDE PAST ONE ANOTHER WITH NO SIGNIFICANT CHANGE IN THE SIZE OF EITHER PLATE.

IN CONCLUSION, the build up of stress within a faul system can be determined by analisis of rock pacticles.*

AS former presidents of the USA wrote books,

Sectary of State and Sectary of Defense voiced their opinions, and

Generals in the field and joint chief of staff at the Pentagon adamantly protest,

the barbaric treatment of the Palestine continues by the government of Israel.

Human rights violations reached a zenith about two years ago where commodities were embargoed from entering Gaza, where Palestinians were literally starving to death. In addition to this tragedy their quality of life diminished.

3. The government failed to efficiently respond to the breeding of suicide bombers and mercenaries who are commissioned by Terrorist Organizations and Terrorist Nations to commit jihad because of Israel’s inhumane policies in the West Bank and Gaza.

4. The government negligently and publicly states their “unconditional” alliance with Israel as appalling human right violations are committed as confirmed by UN.

5. The government negligently fails to accommodate foreign policy with governments (Israel ) or tyrant leaders (Egypt, Libya) that blatantly violate human rights as confirmed by the UN.

6. The government negligently and with biases ignores Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) violations of Israel.

7. The government negligently ignored all resolutions passed since 1967 illegal occupation of the West Bank and Gaza.

8. The government is guilty of derelict of duty and incompetence.

9. The government conspires to create, provoke, and nurtures Terrorism Worldwide with blatantly bias policies and disregard for HUMAN RIGHTS.

10. The defendants negligently and with bias misappropriate funds from the US A treasury to counties that violate: Human Rights, UN Laws, or Commit Terrorism.

My encounters at Times Squares last night: the Democratic Party of China (DPC), a Moslem group of mostly Afro-Americans who converted to Islam that claim they are the “12th tribe of Israle”, and a group of Kuwait’s celebrating the events in the middle east, perhaps foreign students. [Read more →]
