Civilization has made great strides in development of society. We have evolved from where kings once ruled in a brutal totalitarian manner to a democracy that accepted the use of slaves prior to the civil war. Today we have plateau to where Obama Barack is the President of the USA
Although the democratic system of government has proven itself as progress continues, erosion of fundamental values of society is evident and continues to escalate.
The universal financial crisis, political corruption, regional conflicts, and failure in the health care system are examples of such desecration of values. In addition, environmental issues range from floods, record temperatures and Glazers melting in Antarctica while failing to draft a effective Kayo Protocol are examples of such desecration of values.
The recent financial crash and corruption current chares, whether at the local level or Nation level, appears unrelated to environs issues but is not. Greed that cased the said issues also transgress to the monetary gains vs. environment policies. Resulting in the new epoch of the world where there is irreparable damage to the environment.
Similarly, War and the environmental issues appear unrelated; yet they are not. As Global Warming gases increases due to human intervention, extreme weather conditions result, destroying certain regions while reviving others. Furthermore civilizations have proven to migrate in areas of richer resources. Consequently wars are fought over such conflict sand continues to escalate to-date. In addition when greed of political leaders is factored into the equation, catastrophes are inevitable.

Unless drastic changes are made to correct the root causes of such imprudent policies, through misguided values, there will be a world in Perl, spreading chaos and death, to our further generations.
Although the solution seems difficult, it is not. Regardless of being atheist or not; regardless of religious beliefs; still, everyone can enjoy a moral happy life, based on some (religious ) standards and beliefs: SUSTAINABLE LIFE STYLE
As a result, the reduction of greed and over abundance will make It slightly easier to achieve peace, in addition we can attempt to coexists in harmony with nature by choosing effective policies rather monetary gains.
BUT HOW CAN THIS BE ACHIEVED?
As individuals we may first begin with small sacrifices to reduce carbon emissions and conserve energy:
• Change to efficient lighting
• Disconnecting appliances when not in use
• Curbing heating and cooling temperatures
• Replace windows with energy efficient isolated windows
• Adjusting shower head on low flow
• Use M.T.A when possible
• Walk or bike to your destination if possible
• Choose energy efficient appliances
• Insulation of house
•

Yet more significant sacrifices may be on the waiting list rather than waiting for technology
The next phase, if chosen requires more sacrifices where profound introspection into our values, goals and happiness are required. For some people it may require day, for other it may take months or may they may need years, while some will never change
• A 70hour a week job paying more as opposed to a 40 hr a week job paying less.
• A 3 bedroom house vs. a 6 bedroom house, or a smaller affordable apartment vs. larger more expensive apartment
• Reduce unnecessary consumption when basic living requirements are fulfilled.
• Choosing a politician with a Eco-friendly plan for the environment although his/her views do not 100% coincide with yours.
• Buy hybrid vehicle while forsaking style and image.
Although the said solution may shrink the GNP, it is rather a investment into the future .According to the stern report such investments into the environment( or life style)will offset cost tenfold due to Global Warming Damages. But each minute in you analyst of yourself, pondering in such dilemma the Environment has deteriorated:
a. The Ozone hole continues grown
b. Pollution in inner-cities has increased the Asthma, Diabetes, and Kidney cases.
c. Glazer has continue to melt
d. More species have entered the endangered species list
e. Potential Region conflict increases as flood, droughts and agriculture and live stock is destroyed
f. Ocean level rises
g. More GHG enters the atmosphere causing irreparable damage
h. more ocean corals are destroyed
i. ocean temperatures continues rises
j. human mutation continues at a faster rate due to environmental changes
k. Global Economies are closer to crashing to due exorbitant cost of global warming damages
l. Our future generations is more likely to inherit a world in Perl
m. Environmentally related deaths continues to escalate

n. A Effective Kayo Protocol is less likely to be drafted as our imprudent life style continues. The current Kayo focuses on”trade” and “cap” of carbon emissions rather than the elimination of carbon with new  technology.
